This is the a possible thing that could fuck up our momentum, losing Song, Sakho and Kouyate for up to a month.

This has all the ingredients for a complete fuckfest.

I always suspected, though, that there was a reason they made Teflon black...

"African football's governing body also announced that Equatorial Guinea will play in the tournament - despite the team being disqualified in July for fielding an ineligible player in a preliminary qualifier against Mauritania on 17 May. "

About time the nations who qualify start paying the players wages and insurance

Bet this tournament cost us 3/4 of a mil during our busiest period

Still the players who go could love their nations load and give up their wages

Place should be nuked. Cesspit of civilisation and a hotbed of disease. All cause they can't stop fucking chimps in the jungle to create all these poxy diseases.
Pass me the red button....I'd happily press it

Aren't Morocco now banned as they refused to host it?

Micky mouse banana tournament!

Ah yes!
With their TWO stadia.....

Wonder if they get reinstated into the tournament as a reward for hosting it?

Surely not......

Equatorial Guinea jus announced as hosts.

CAF are way too pig-headed to let it happen elsewhere - I really think they'll force it through. They'd have been praying that South African would stage it.

Re: African Cup of Nations in doubt
Can't really see it going ahead as intended this late in the day. There can't be many countries with the facilities and infrastructure to hold the tourney at such short notice- let alone who are willing to let a huge influx of travellers at risk of having the illness in.

There's really no case for holding it anywhere outside of Africa either.

The deaths of several thousand people they don't know and would have never met is a small price to pay for the backers & organisers to ensure their return on investment.

Re: African Cup of Nations in doubt
As for Senegal with Kouyate and Sakho most of our lot will be hoping they lose in Egypt this Saturday and then just miss out on the best 3rd place finish, thus they dont qualify.

Song hasn't been called up by Cameroon since the WC Finals. He was banned for 3 games albeit he would've been available for selection for the ANC games thus far. Ban only applies to WC qualifiers.

To be fair to CAF, Morocco didn't qualify!

Re: African Cup of Nations in doubt
That's good news hopefully we won't lose Song, Sakho etc over a usually tough testing part of the season
